Jeff Baldori is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist whose musical journey began with classical, jazz, and boogie studies under Detroit’s renowned Matt Michaels. He was one of just two students endorsed to attend and complete high school at the prestigious Detroit Institute of Musical Arts. With a strong foundation in those styles, Jeff expanded his passion into R&B and popular music during the Blues Underground movement of the 1960s. Frequent trips to Chicago to see artists like Muddy Waters and Paul Butterfield sparked a lifelong love for the blues and a drive to push his musical limits.
Celebrated on December 23rd, Festivus is a secular "anti-holiday" popularized by the sitcom Seinfeld as a protest against the commercialism and pressures of the holiday season. Defined by the slogan "a Festivus for the rest of us," the celebration replaces traditional decorations with an unadorned aluminum pole and trades holiday cheer for two main traditions: the Airing of Grievances, where participants tell others how they have disappointed them over the past year, and the Feats of Strength, a wrestling match that concludes only when the head of the household is pinned. It is a humorous, low-maintenance alternative for those looking to bypass the "tinsel" of December.
