Ray Kamalay and his Red Hot Peppers

Step back into the golden era of small-band jazz with Ray Kamalay and his Red Hot Peppers. Inspired by legends like Billie Holiday, Django Reinhardt, and Jack Teagarden, this Midwest-based ensemble delivers soulful ballads and hot improvisational tunes that capture the spirit of 1930s America.
Led by guitarist and vocalist Ray Kamalay—whose work with Howard Armstrong earned a W.C. Handy Award nomination—the group features top-tier talent including pianist Max Gage (2025 Jacksonville Piano Competition finalist) and bassist Reuben Stump of the Stump Estate in Dimondale.
A night of rich stories, masterful musicianship, and timeless jazz awaits.
